Hi guys! Many thanks for your patience during the downtime on Monday/Tuesday. Due to a problem with our database that transpired during the testing and transition phase on Monday evening -- an issue that's now in the process of being corrected -- I'm holding off the official launch until after the weekend.

I know it's disappointing, but I prefer to wait rather than continue to inconvenience the community through extended downtime ... not to mention causing problems for the owners of our hosted webseries, who have been very understanding but still shouldn't have to wait indefinitely for their forums to be back online.

On the plus side, most of the file and programming tests unrelated to the database itself were successful, and these steps won't need to be repeated prior to the actual launch. The problem occured in the actual upgrade of the database, for reasons too technical and boring to get into, but suffice it to say that trying to combine a database built by software from 2002 and kept together with virtual spit and duct tape is NOT as easy as it sounds!
