Description
Before explainin g what EOFA is, it might be easier to first explain what a Play-By-Email fantasy football league is. Play-By-Email, or PBEM, is a genre of game in which the players use e-mail to communicate game information, and a fantasy football league is a simulated game based on football. E-mail is used for sending the starting line-ups, transfers, game stats and general banter that occurs in the league.
The actual soccer matches are simulated by a program called ESMS (Electronic Soccer Management Simulator). Other software may be used by some leagues for other aspects of their game, but for the game simulation, ESMS is used. The EOFA does not own the ESMS software, nor did we develop it. Therefore any questions related to the software itself should be directed to the ESMS developers.
EOFA is an acronym for ESMS Online Football Association and is the central point for many Play-By-Email fantasy football leagues that use the ESMS simulation software. The purpose of EOFA is to provide a chance for all the leagues to work together and improve the overall game play for their players (managers).
