All our analysis is driven by an element of what we like to call "Metriscience" (from the Greek word 'Metron' meaning 'measure' and the Latin word 'Scientia' meaning 'Knowledge' or 'to know'). The business community is obsessed with metrics since accountability requires measurement of performance. Business sciences like Finance and Marketing, unlike Physical Sciences, abound with metrics that are not consistent across industries and regions, are not robust measures of underlying processes and entities, and last but not least that are not time-invariant- their relevance declines rapidly as business evolves. - unfortunately with this proliferation of Metrics, organizations tend to evaluate themselves and their activities with Metrics that put them in the best possible light. We look across multiple metrics and factors to evaluate the underlying implication of business and economic events.
