nglish's is one of the oldest and most well known restaurants on the South Coast. We have been delighting Brighton's residents and visitors alike with Seafood for over 150 years.
The restaurant was originally established by the Brazier family during the last century, and occupies 3 Fisherman's cottages which date back almost 400 years.
e have six separate dining rooms, three of which are interconnected. In 1996, two local art students, Catarina Perestrello and Mark Davies were commissioned to paint 3 series of murals for these rooms : the Spode Room has pictures depicting Edwardian dinner scenes, the Wedgwood Room has After-Dinner scenes, and Minton depicts the famous 'handbag' scene from 'The Importance of Being Ernest', watched over by Oscar Wilde himself.
