What is Engender?
Engender is an organisation for women and organisations working on women's issues. We aim to ensure that women have greater visibility, more effective voices, better representation and more power in their own lives and that of their communities and country.
Why do we need Engender?
To make sure that women's concerns are not swept aside, hidden or ignored. Women are over half the population but are underrepresented in areas of decision making:
In economic decision making women and under represented at senior management level - the higher the management level - the lower proportion of women.
