'Les Enfants de Dieu' or 'God's Children' is an association of street children in Kigali, Rwanda. The organisation is secular, nevertheless it adopted God in its name to signify the protective qualities of all religions and spiritual movements.
Our mission is to effect a transformation in the lives of Rwandan street children by alleviating their hardships and providing them with the opportunities to mature into valued and respected individuals that can be reintegrated into society and be able to contribute their skills, knowledge and ideas.
We uphold that every child is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in the Declaration of Human Rights, ‘without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status’.
