The Empowered Notary was founded by Joanna L. Lilly in order to train, support, and supply the notary. She has worked extensively with notaries while providing writing, editing, and proofreading services through her alternate company, The Last Word, (www.lastwordedits.com) creating and publishing notary training books, online courses, advertising and promotional copy, website content, and marketing for businesses, notary educators, and organizations in Florida and around the U.S.
Ms. Lilly has taught professional notary courses in Florida for years, and has written or collaborated on the creation of many notary handbooks, classroom and online notary training programs for Florida, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts, South Carolina, and others, as well as Instructor Certification Programs. Her knowledge of proper notary procedures makes her a qualified Professional Notary Instructor certified by the Florida Governor's office, and a capable Corporate Trainer.
Joanna has written The Empowered Notary Complete Handbook for Florida Notaries, The Empowered Notary Wedding Handbook, both due for release soon; The Complete Florida Notary Handbook, the Wedding Service Handbook, and noteworthy articles such as “The Unlawful Notary” and “Notary Journals: Nuisance or Necessity?”
