About Us
ELW is a non-profit organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada . It has an office in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where three staff persons are employed producing programs and other materials for the women’s groups across Canada. A National Board oversees the organization. Each of the five Synods or regions of the ELCIC has a Synodical ELW Board which oversees the activities it its area. Events are planned nationally and more frequently regionally to gather women to worship and share with one another. ELW groups are found in ELCIC congregations across Canada.
We are a Christ centred community of women committed to nurturing our faith and spiritual strength, enabling us to be people of God in mission.
