- eLSACC was created in September 2005, with the support of five members of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), namely: Alberta Education, British Columbia Ministry of Education, Ministère de l’Éducation du Loisir et du Sport du Québec, New Brunswick Department of Education and Ontario Ministry of Education. eLSACC’s mission is to recommend strategies for standards and best practices in optimizing return on the public’s investment in the development of digitized e‑learning resources and services, and to support Canada’s participation in developing international information technology standards for learning, education, and training through the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC36 committee.
