Our Elk Grove dealer's story starts in 1955 when Wes Lasher opened his first Volkswagen dealership in Downtown Sacramento. The dealership grew quickly as Northern Californians adopted affordable European vehicles like the VW Type 1 Beetle, Type 2 Bus and Karmann Ghia as part of their culture. Eventually Sacramento VW sales became so large that Wes opened an additional dealership in Sac on Florin Road.

The entire Lasher Auto Group originated with Wes Lasher Volkswagen in Downtown Sacramento almost 55 years ago. Not only was this the first Volkswagen dealer in Sac, but one of the first in all of California. We still have our Volkswagen Dealer downtown, but our new state of the art Elk Grove VW dealership in the Elk Grove Automall is setting new standards for Volkswagen sales and service. Even during these tough times we've continued to grow our VW parts and VW accessory business, hired new Volkswagen Service personal due to increased business and have been having record sales of VW CPO (Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen) used cars month after month.
