Description
The Elite Players Tour was founded in 2002 by former PGA Professional Pete Regala, Jr, and Mark Tomchik an Annapolis area businessman. Their vision was to develop a summer junior golf program where skilled junior golfers in the Mid Atlantic Region could compete on quality courses with large fields without having to travel great distances or pay high fees.
This vision was developed and executed quickly and the tour opened for play in the summer of 2003. The incredible success of that first summer season validated the need for a Mid Atlantic based tour. The tour has had hundreds of junior golfers and their families join since inception and the tour continues to grow in the region. It is now considered the premier junior golf tour in the Mid Atlantic Region.
Today the tour has grown into a highly visible tournament experience where it is not uncommon for college and high school coaches to attend and support. The Elite Players Tour has given away thousands of dollars in scholarships and is one of the largest donators of financial funds to junior golfers in the region. The Elite Players Tour has hosted events ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard. The tour has hosted several clinics and work with area PGA Professionals to insure members have access to the very best equipment and instruction. The program is considered a must play for any skilled junior golfer and scholar athlete.
