The Bridge provides educational assistance, food assistance, and microloans mainly to indigenous people in the southeastern part of Costa Rica. Our goal is to help people help themselves to self-sufficiency.
The Bridge was founded by Barry & Nanci Stevens, originally from San Diego, California, now living in Costa Rica.
BARRY STEVENS is a co-founder and corporate officer, with extensive experience in business. He is an author (How To write A Successful Business Plan, Life Planning Workbook.) He has worked extensively with startups, and has assisted in raising millions of dollars in startup capital. He is implementing El Puente Press, using the self-publishing website www.lulu.com, to present works for sale. All proceeds from this effort are being donated to The Bridge. NANCI WRIGHT STEVENS is a co-founder and corporate officer, and is a world-class wildlife artist. Her work continues to be sold around the world, and her new Costa Rica Jungle Series is proving popular in selected galleries as well as through the Internet. The most recent series, titled Flor'n More, is making a hit with its colorful portrayals of jungle flaura and fauna. All profits from sales of her art are being donated to The Bridge.
