Since our opening nearly fifty years ago, we’ve been family-owned and family-friendly. Your comfort is our sole concern. We invite you to enjoy our cozy rooms, stroll our manicured gardens, and relax in our seasonally heated pool and year-round whirlpool spa. We offer the attentions of a friendly staff and the convenience of a 24-hour front desk. All of our rooms are outfitted with the most current amenities. And each morning, we offer you our complimentary gourmet continental breakfast, which includes fresh-squeezed orange juice and locally made pastries.
A Brief History
The El Pueblo was built by Ray O. Bradbury who moved to Sonoma from Eureka looking for new lodging sites in the Valley of the Moon. The El Pueblo was passed on to Holly Bradbury and Cal and Wendy Stewart in 1992. In 2001 they decided it was time for a major facelift. With the help of architect Adrian Martinez and the Sonoma Valley Bank, they tore down the old office and six guest rooms, moved the parking lot, and made room for a garden courtyard. All remaining original rooms were refurbished and twenty new and larger guest rooms were added along with a new lobby, breakfast room, and exercise room. The new landscaping is by Francisco Peccorini of Landscape Management Associates.
