The Steam Ship S/S Ejdern
This is a website about the oldest coal fired propeller driven steamer with original engine in the World, S/S Ejdern of Södertälje. She was built in 1880 in Gothenburg to frequent the archipelago. Ejdern's Propulsion machinery is a Compound engine at 65 IHP and a coal fired boiler of Scottish type. S/S EJDERN is the property of Museiföreningen Ångfartyget Ejdern, which members take care of her and uses her for commercial sailing tours in the waters around Södertälje.
