- EFICOR has a consultative status with ECOSOC - UN. The Economic and Social Council is the principal organ to coordinate the economic, social, and related work of the 14 UN specialized agencies, 10 functional commissions and five regional commission. The consultative status in ECOSOC is an avenue by which non-governmental organizations take a role in formal UN deliberations. Consultative status is granted by ECOSOC upon recommendation of the ECOSOC Committee on NGOs, which is comprised of 19 Member States.
