Welcome to the EEMLAC website - a resource for all those wishing to know more about us and the museums, libraries and archives of the East of England.
EEMLAC is the regional agency for museums, libraries and archives, covering the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and the unitary authorities of Luton, Peterborough, Southend on Sea and Thurrock.
EEMLAC has been established to develop an effective regional infrastructure for the museums, libraries and archives sector in the East of England. Funded by the Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) through the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) - The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries - EEMLAC will respond to the particular needs of the sector in this region and provide a strong voice on its behalf.
