Title
Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation - About EDNF
Description
Raising awareness about EDS improves lives because it helps people get diagnosed, it helps teachers and employers to accept those with EDS, and it improves medical treatment. In an effort to increase awareness about EDS, the EDNF's members have declared May EDS Awareness Month. But the goal of awareness goes on throughout the year. Here's what others are doing and how you can be involved.
This year learn more about the devastating connective-tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), meet doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and patients who share your concerns; talk candidly with healthcare professionals who understand this disorder; and hee-haw with your new-found friends.
Announcing the first issue of 2006, Loose Connections is now available for download. With articles covering this year's conference in Houston, Texas, the new National Awareness Committee, the amazing EDNF Volunteers and a great Physical Therapy article from PAC member Terry Olson, it is jam packed with information. EDNF members get a copy mailed to them, not a member yet? Find out more about the benefits of EDNF membership.
