Eden House :: Bed and Breakfast | Eden House Country Bed and Breakfast
Description
The history of Eden House can be traced back at least to the very early 1700's, when King George III was the reigning monarch, and there is a suggestion that the property dates back even further, though the existing property deeds don't go that far!
Always a working farm until c.1970, Penlanfeigan - to give the house it's true Welsh name - has always been regarded as a significant property in the Boncath area. As the property changed hands it's original acreage has been diminished over the centuries, and at the peak of the farm's history comprised of more than 50 acres in ownership, with a no-doubt much larger working title.
Ken and Violet Norman bought Penlanfeigan in the Spring of 2000, by which time the land was no longer farmed and the acreage was down to the area it covers today -14 acres. Together with their business partner and co-worker, Phil Allsopp, the trio have set about turning the house and land into their dream - a haven of tranquillity and relaxation, a place to rest, reflect and replenish your inner resources. Over 800 new trees have been planted, much of the land has been landscaped into gardens with walks, and an old pond, constantly fed by a natural spring, has been reinstated to its former glory, offering a home for pond life and a drinking place for wildlife.
