Eastland was incorporated in 1999 and since listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in January 2002 has evolved from a ‘start up’ technology company to become a vertically-integrated developer, manufacturer and distributor of safe injectable devices and other established medical products.
Of its initial six patented products four have been fully developed, functionally tested and have clearly identified target markets. These products are “Clip-On”, “Safeline”, “AutoInjecta” and “Reversyringe”. These retractable needle devices deliver improved safety and functionality at a cost comparable with current industry standard products. 2004 will see a range of these devices introduced to the market
Eastland has also significantly added to the value of its intellectual property portfolio with the patenting and development of “Precision Angular Presentation” (PAP) needle grinding technology which also has far reaching applications outside the medical industry.
