Easton Area Industrial Land Development Company (EAILD) was created in 1961 (it was known as the Easton Area Promotion Corporation). This Non-Profit organization was established for the sole purpose of "Improving the employment situation in the Easton Area (Make Jobs)" by attracting industry to our community. This was accomplished by developing two industrial parks located in Forks Township and Palmer Township. Today there are over 5,000 people employed in the Forks and Palmer Industrial Parks.
