Chambers were set up in Colchester in 1946 by the late Gerald Hines Q.C. to provide a service so that local solicitors and their clients would not have to make the journey to London. The service proved so popular and the demand for a local Bar so great that we have, over the years, added premises in Norwich and now Chelmsford (both Tier 1 court centres) and taken over existing chambers in Ipswich.
