For a year, Silicon Interfaces developed sites for internet and e-commerce in the United States in Companies, like Microsoft Corporation, using tools and technologies which were ground breaking and participated in developing robust sites with huge hits. Hence, the core expertise existed in the Company to technologically deliver a B2C e-commerce site. Further, the management team partly interacted with program management from companies in the Seattle area where the germ idea for companies, like Amazon.com, Infospace, Network Commerce (formerly ShopNow), Ubarter.com (now a division of Network Commerce), Drugstore.com, Expedia.com and a host of startup companies operating in the areas of auctioning, reverse-auctioning and other areas, were seeded and grown during the year.
