Title

The Scoreboard - El Paso's best source of comprehensive high school football info!

Description

About the Scoreboard

The Scoreboard was created in 1994 by Jamey Osborne as a place for him to learn about web design. Jamey was a reporter for KROD AM 600 at the time and the Scoreboard became something to keep people informed about how their teams were doing, since there wasn't a comprehensive source of information about El Paso area high school football. The site was originally hosted on the Rio Grande FreeNet and, three years ago, moved to a server hosted by the good people at Stanton Street Technology Group. It's still an all-volunteer effort and remains ad-free.

In 1997, the Scoreboard was named Honorable Mention by Tommy Cummings of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as one of the best high school football sites in Texas.

The goal of the Scoreboard is to provide 24/7 coverage of high school football, at least from August to December. It is an all-volunteer, unpaid service, so I update it as I can. At a minimum, I try to keep the scores and standings current. Behind the scenes, I have a lot more stats and other information but it's proving difficult to get them out of the database in a useful fashion!
