eGovernments Foundation is a not-for-profit trust that was founded in Feb 2003 by Nandan Nilekani & Srikanth Nadhamuni with a goal of creating an eGovernance system to improve the functioning of City Municipalities leading to better delivery of services to their citizens.
Nandan Nilekani - CEO Infosys is a Co-Founder of the eGovernments Foundation. He has funded the eGovernments Foundation from his personal funds. His desire to improve municipal governance in scalable and systematic manner is a key driving force of the eGovernments Foundation. He is closely involved in the strategic decision making and guidance of the foundation.
Srikanth Nadhamuni - Co-Founder & Managing Trustee of eGovernments Foundation. Srikanth is a Silicon valley entrepreneur who has spent 16 years in the US, creating technology solutions at companies such as Sun Microsystems, Intel, Silicon Graphics, WebMD and startup GlobeTrades, having worked in diverse projects such as the Pentium and UltraSparc chips, interactiveTV & Internet technologies. He has worked with NGOs in India for the past 12 year, including serving as President of ICA - a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit that funds NGOs across India.
