ECON Wars is a free turn-based online massive multiplayer strategy and resource management game with role play elements. Set in distant future starting with the year of 2169, the players become corporations in endless pursuit of wealth and power. In such pursuit they build bases and units accross thousands of planets orbiting thousands of stars, each planet having huge surface maps on which they can build, explore and expand.
Researching technologies, building and micro-managing their bases and units, harvesting resources, trading, diplomatic endeavours, complex politics and intrigues, factions, intelligence and covert operations, and many more, are the primary features of ECONWars. But there is more. The game is oriented toward modern fast-paced world where a player would not have enough time to spend hours in front of a game, and yet the game's universe is continuous, driven by captivating story and environment not seen in other games of the genre, providing extensive community oriented infrastructure.
ECON Wars is currently under development and is expected to launch in Winter of 2007.
