1040Man, Inc. was formed in March of 2000 under the name Ideacom, Inc. We have just moved to new corporate headquarters which are located in Moriches, NY the gateway to the Hamptons. The company was founded by Richard A. Ziegler, a Former Internal Revenue Service Tax Examiner. We initially started with our website 1040man.com, and only offered do it yourself tax preparation and E-file. We have since expanded 1040man.com to include self calculating forms that figure your tax automatically, professional preparation by our staff of former IRS employees, and our Liveadvisor service to help you with the preparation of your return and answer any tax related questions you may have. In September of 2001 we launched our second website e1040x.com. We had noticed that no one was addressing the need to Amend your Federal Taxes using Form 1040X over the internet, and that there was no software specifically designed for this purpose.
E1040x.com is specifically designed using our self calculating forms to make your amended return preparation as easy and simple as possible. We have also added Professional Preparation by our staff, and the Liveadvisor to the site to help with the preparation of an amended return and to answer any tax related questions that our customers may have. We currently have two new sites in development 1040x.com which we plan to have eventually replace e1040x.com and Interactivforms.com. 1040X.com will be a step by step walk through for the preparation of an Amended Return and Interactivforms will be a depository for all of our self calculating interactive forms.
