Šaľa is a modern town with 26.000 inhabitants, great number of shops, numerous sport and recreational facilities inside the town itself and in its neighborhood. There are situated secondary schools, apprentice and comprehensive schools in Šaľa.
History of the town is significant, with the first written notices dated back to 1002. That means, in 2002 the town celebrates the 1000th years anniversary of its existence. Šaľa is situated on the right and left banks of the lower Váh River, 119m above the sea level. The town is 130 km to the east from Vienna, the capital of Austria and 70 km to the east from Bratislava, the capital of the Slovak Republic.
The river ports of Bratislava and Komárno on the Danube River and the Váh River, which have been set navigable, enable an advantageous transport of our products to customers in West and South-East Europe, eventually give the possibility of reloading the products, intended for customers all over the world. The town of Šaľa has advantageous railway connection to all directions and the road network gives a precondition of commercial connection to the whole world.
