Durrer Spezialmaschinen AG, CH-6403 Küssnacht am Rigi :: Welcome to our Website
Description
When a company is acknowledged as setting today’s standards it can be justly proud of its past. In 1949 brothers Klaus and Franz Durrer established a mechanical workshop in Kuessnacht. From the very start they manufactured machines for special applications, one of these being an armature winding machine. The firm continued to expand along these lines and towards the end of the 1960’s succeeded in getting a toehold in the graphical industry. In 1968 the first fully-automatic step index cutter was launched, improved and updated versions of which have been in production ever since. Today, with over 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of special machines for print and paper processing, DURRER is the undisputed market leader for index processing machines.
The term „Integral Production“ is nothing new to DURRER. True to its origins the company’s second main area of activity – manufacturing tools, appliances and machines for sundry use – goes from strength to strength. Since the early 1970’s some of Switzerland’s major blue-chip industrial concerns have entrusted DURRER to equip them with tailor-made solutions to their divergent requirements: Bucherer, Cellpack, Interelectric (Maxon), Paiste, Sprecher+Schuh, Swissair (Swiss), Thermoplan, Philips etc.
