A word on Duplicate poker
Duplicate poker is a skill game based on poker, or rather a new way of playing poker online. Using the principles of Duplicate Bridge we’ve created a new game called Duplicate poker. The players compete with players sitting at other tables and so the game relies more on the players’ skill and less on their luck. That is why it is not considered as gambling and Duplicate poker is legal around most of The States.
Getting started
In order to play the game, you need to download the software for free and sign up; you get a $3 bonus at sign-up. After that you can start playing by accumulating more chips than your opponents sitting at the other tables, at the same seat as yours. You and your opponents get the same hands, now it is up to you to play it smart.
The rules for Duplicate poker follow the rules of pot limit and no limit texas hold'em according to the game method. In tournaments, the game is played according to pot limit texas hold'em until the semi-final and final rounds. Then the game is played according to no limit texas hold'em. In “quick plays” and “sit & goes” the game is played according to capped pot limit texas hold’em. The cap limit is 1,000 chips per hand.
