Description
The Charlotte Observer continues its love/hate relationship with Duke Energy. They published some fluff articles and Duke was happy. Then they hit Duke with an article that proved the price gouging allegations, which had been denied. They did take it easy on Duke by giving the article a namby-pamby title: “Duke Calif. rates spike in emergency.”
They soothed Duke with another fluff article or two and hit them again. They noted that Duke, and others, could not push through the arena package in Charlotte, North Carolina.
They consoled Duke by printing a long article by Mike Tuckman, selling the case for re-licensing Duke’s nuclear plants. The article was nothing but an advertisement for Duke Energy.
