Dual wheel pickups have been an important part of Cass' life for many years. After operating another business in the Elkhart area for many years, he and Lou decided to retire. But retirement didn't mean sitting at home. It meant hitting the road as an RV jockey! Once Cass began to rely on his "dually" for work, he soon discovered that it didn't seem so important to other folks. When Cass found someone who could work on his truck, it seemed there was always a two-week delay...much too long.
Cass began working on his own truck in a pole barn at home. Soon, friends asked him to work on their trucks, too. He installed lights, auxiliary fuel systems, and other accessories. In a short time, Cass realized there was a definite need for the service he could provide.
That's when, in the early 1990's, Cass and Lou opened Dually Depot in Elkhart, Indiana. Cass chose the name "Dually Depot" to represent the focus of his business. The word "dually" refers to twin-wheel pickup trucks; Dually Depot works on this size truck and smaller. The word "depot" is meant to describe a place where vehicles enter and exit quickly.
