The specialty of urology is, technically, a surgical specialty in the care of the genito/urinary system for both men and women.
Problems in the urinary system can be caused by stones, infection, tumors, birth defects, or simply the aging process. One's diet, lifestyle and factors such as stress can aggravate or promote problems in the urinary tract. Because of this natural interaction I have found it most helpful to treat my patients' medical problems in light of the whole person and their needs.
When you come to our office you will learn that our goal is to see your health restored with a speedy return to your usual activities. This will require your cooperation and patience as we seek to provide quality care for you and your loved ones with a spirit of excellence. Quite often this may mean spending a little extra time to answer questions and discuss concerns regarding your health. I believe the extra time pays off in healthier, happier patients and that makes it worth it.
