Dragonflies of Dallas is a social and support group for gay Asians, Pacific Islanders (APIs), and friends in the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex. Our goal is to bring together gay APIs in a friendly, supportive, and non-judgmental setting. We also strive to promote awareness, visibility, and acceptance of gay API sexuality. We oppose racism, homophobia, sexism, and other forms of prejudice and discrimination.
Although based in Dallas, Texas, members of Dragonflies of Dallas come from all parts of the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex. Our members include people from all walks of life, all age groups, and all ethnic backgrounds. Our members consist of students, artists, managers, lawyers, physicians, retailers, real estate professionals, business owners, architects, accountants, clerks, homemakers, travel agents, therapists, engineers, "closeted" individuals, first generation Americans, immigrants, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesians, Phillipines, Laos, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korean, Malaysian, and Singaporean, just to name a few.
