Description
I have been a work in progress for most of my life. Ok, so who hasn't already?! You see, I began a futile attempt at art at an early age, in the hope of being amazing like my brother, Robin. It didn't work. Like I said, it was a futile attempt.
But I digress... I didn't realize that for it to truly be "artwork", it has to come from within the artist. Unfortunately, I can also be VERY slow at some things. In an equally futile attempt, I attended art school for nearly two years, where I learned everyone else's way to hold a brush or what colors make the sky. All very nice to know, I'll grant you, but not MY artwork. I just couldn't seem to find it anywhere. But alas, I had not yet learned what being an artist was all about.
It took me literally decades to understand that art is as individualistic as the artists who produce it. Once I learned that most important art lesson, where I learned it I may never know, my art work became the free expression of my own mind's eye- what it was meant to be.
