Dorset Safety Camera Partnership (DSCP)
Description
The Partnership organisations include Dorset County Council, Borough of Poole, Bournemouth Borough Council, the Highways Agency, Dorset Police, Dorset and Somerset Strategic Health Authority, Dorset Magistrates and the Crown Prosecution Service. Each organisation brings unique knowledge and experience to road safety and is fully committed to achieving the Partnership’s aims. Following the first anniversary of the Partnership, members expressed their continued support:
"Speeding is a criminal offence and many people's lives are affected as a direct result of speeding. The Partnership has been instrumental in educating the county's drivers of these messages and the Crown Prosecution Service is pleased to be a member of the Partnership and will continue to offer its full support in the future."
"The Highways Agency has been set challenging Government targets to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on the English trunk road network. We are pleased to be involved in the work of the Dorset Safety Camera Partnership, which we believe can make a significant contribution to achieving those targets."
