Description
The Institute for Diversity in Health Management, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, collaborates with educators and health services organizations to expand leadership opportunities to ethnic minorities in health services management. The mission of the Institute is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in health services administration and to improve opportunities for professionals already in the health care field. To accomplish its mission, the Institute has designed several initiatives to generate significant long-term results through educational programs, a summer enrichment internship, professional development and leadership conferences. The Institute for Diversity in Health Management is committed to expanding health care leadership opportunities for ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse individuals, and increasing the number of these individuals entering and advancing in the field.
Leadership of health care institutions reflect the ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity of the communities they serve, resulting in the delivery of culturally appropriate health care to all constituent communities.
