Explorer Scouts is the 14-18 year old section of scouts. Explorer scouts go camping, rock climbing, canoeing, hiking and much more! Explorer scouts can also become Young Leaders of Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs or Scout troops.
Didcot District Explorer Scouts are the explorer scout unit for Didcot District, in Oxfordshire. We meet weekly during term time, and take part in many activities and awards schemes. We've been rock climbing, camping (lots of times!), hiking, canoeing, scuba diving, archering, rifle shooting and lots more!
During term time we meet once a week on a Thursday at a local scout hut. Sometimes, we have to meet at the weekends as well to do activities such as climbing or camping. During the holidays, we may sometimes go on camps, which may be a few days or may last a week or so - depending on where we're going and what we're doing there.
