The beginnings of Diaz Foods can be traced back to 1969, when Domingo Diaz and Julio Rene Diaz, a father and son team, opened their first grocery store called Diaz Market in Midtown Atlanta. When their business quickly grew to five stores, Domingo and Julio recognized the need for a distribution center, thus Diaz Foods was formed in 1980.
