Welcome to the DFW Writers' Workshop!
Our motto is "Study. Write. Critique." Our goal is to promote the art and craft of writing.
We offer a friendly and supportive environment for experienced and beginner writers in all genres and types of writing. Come visit us any Wednesday night at 7 pm.
Visiting and Membership
VISITING The Workshop welcomes visitors, over the age of 18, to any regular Wednesday evening meetings. Visitors are welcome to visit twice per year and are encouraged to sit in and observe our 'Read and Critique' sessions, but may not participate in the 'Read and Critique' process, unless approved in advance by the Board of Directors. Visitors may participate in the discussions during the break periods as a method of learning the Workshop's successful practices.
MEMBERSHIP Membership is open to anyone, over the age of 18, who desires to promote the art and craft of writing. There are no limitations on membership. Both published and non-published individuals are welcome to join. The dues are set each year by the membership, upon recommendation of the Board of Directors, for the upcoming year. Current annual dues are $100 per person.
MEETINGS The DFW Writers' Workshop meets every Wednesday at the Ruth Millican Center in Euless, Texas. The meetings begin promptly at 7:00pm and never go past 10:00pm.
Visitors should plan to arrive no later than 6:45pm to sign-in and receive their visitor information packet. Members usually begin arriving between 6:00pm and 6:30pm.
FROM DALLAS (or other points East of Euless): Take Hwy.183 West, past Hwy.360. Immediately past Hwy.360, make a right exit onto Hwy.10. Turn left at Cullum, the first street on the left. The Ruth Millican Center is the first building on the left.
FROM FORT WORTH (or other points West of Euless): Take Hwy.183 East to Main Street in Euless. Exit to the Right off Hwy.183. At Euless Main Street turn right and immediately get into the left lane (short block before turning left). Turn left at the first light, which is Hwy.10. Turn right at Cullum, the first street on the right. The Ruth Millican Center is the first building on the left.
