As ASL teachers, we found it necessary to develop materials that added specific linguistic information to the curriculum used by our university. What started out as a few hand-outs has become a complete program designed to enhance any ASL instruction setting.
For programs in their beginning stages, Dexterity has daily class schedules, syllabi, teacher development and classroom materials including fantastic additions to any classroom, Dex and Dex ll.
If your program has been established for quite some time, then you know that materials that deal with structure, grammar, classifiers and other important linguistic information are very hard to find. Dex and Dex ll are great additions to your program because they fill in all those gaps without having to completely change the curriculum currently in use. Program standardization and fine-tuning services are available, as are teacher inservice workshops.
