TVE Asia Pacific responds to development challenges and opportunities in the Asia Pacific -- the world's largest and most diverse region, home to more than half of humanity including most of its poor.
Working closely with television broadcasters, civil society groups and educational organisations, TVE Asia Pacific tells authentic and engaging stories of how individuals, communities and countries pursue better lives and a better planet.
From its regional office in Nugegoda, Colombo, Sri Lanka, TVE Asia Pacific manages regional media programmes in the sub-regions of East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. Particular focus is given to 16 countries where TVE Asia Pacific has designated one or more national partners -- independent organisations engaged in producing and distributing audio visual material on development issues for education, awareness, advocacy, training or activist purposes. Partners are licensed to distribute TVE content, and also supported in other ways. The Asia Pacific Video Resource Centre Network comprises 20 organisations.
