It can also serve as a place to get things done, express your thoughts and even help people. The concept is quite simple really we want to unite resources from around our area. As much as everybody in our city has been bombarded with negative comments about our greater Detroit we still have managed to pump out some of the great talent in our world. Some of the major things we lack amongst us all is the ability to communicate and share our thoughts and build on our ideas and bring people and projects to life. I guess I'm an optomist. But we here believe we have great things to do, we just lack the city resources to do them with. Places all around this city are lacking any unity by this we mean that we lack proper urban transport, effective ways for people within our community to interact from all walks of life can bring together awesome things. Will DetroitUnited.com solve all of our problems, no..will it help to give us all a voice that is detroit based where people can exchange ideas, post projects, make connections, and build a little stronger community, I hope so. We need places like this to know what is going on, because there are great things going on all the time. What the creative people lack is a way to let other people know about them locally. Sell things that other may want and hire people locally that need a place to post something for free. It's a start. In making this site, I wanted to make some things very clear we will always try to remain free, we will never ask for you to register just to post an ad. Whatever the ad, but there will probally need to have some rules just because there are just too many abusers of good services and then those services just become overwhelmed with crap. We've tried to offer a quick easy way to post, we've also included easy links to some cool detroit sites that we would always like to update, rotate and let people know about our stuff right here, which it seems is always tough to find just some cool local links. We want to keep our news and information updated, so that people can quickly get some good news about local stuff that isn't polluted with corporate intentions. Our news will try to build on the next level of what's really going on and why in our town. So, many times we just don't get that. Our events section is intended to let people know about things happening that are interesting and not always post anywhere else.
