- Deter-A-Squirrel Pest Deferral System is a newly formed, home-based company that found its inception in our frustration of trying (unsuccessfully) to keep squirrels away from our bird feeder. Not ever having had a bird feeder before, we had no idea that the furry little rodents even posed a problem. We thought that we could just hang a feeder anywhere we pleased and the little tweeters would come from far and wide to feast on our delicious complimentary smorgasbord; carefree and most happily! Never in a million years did we think that there would be a persistent little rascal lurking in the tree branches that would try its best to commandeer everything edible in sight, including our bird seed.
