About DA! Desktop Anime
DA! Desktop Anime is an anime wallpaper site, as the name implies. I chose the name because I had seen dozens of sites named "Anime Desktops" but none named "Desktop Anime," which seemed like an obvious variant. When taking the first letter of each word, you get DA. So I named the site DA! Desktop Anime.
DA! first opened as DA! on 5/25/00. Previously it had been a subsection of my personal website. Throughout the years, the site has offered other things including Winamp skins, music videos, site layouts and wallpaper resources, although the focus has always been on the wallpapers themselves.
Several years ago I made it a tradition to change the site's layout once a year on DA!'s birthday. Here are the layouts I've had in the past.
