The owner of Design for Living, Wendy Hayward, IDS, is a certified interior designer and member of the Interior Design Society (IDS). Certification is based on the highest standards of education, experience and appropriate testing. This high level of achievement attests to demonstrated expertise and the professional ability to help you achieve your design goals.
Wendy graduated as a Periclean Honor Scholar from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, with a concentration in Art History. She went on to receive an interior design degree from Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley, MA. Wendy has been working professionally as an interior designer for almost a decade. She loves art and architecture and travels the world in search of design inspiration. Recent favorite trips include Palm Springs, California, which offers one of the largest concentrations of Mid-Century Modern architecture and interior design in the world and a visit to a manor house in England which boasts the most extensive collection of original 18th century Chippendale furniture. Visits to China, India, Morocco and Thailand round out the broad range of design ideas in her repertoire. Wendy will work with whatever style you love, as well as provide a wealth of options if you are searching for 'your' style.
