Welcome to DeMatha Catholic High School, a private high school for young men. The primary purpose of the school is to develop young men of integrity who are prepared to enter adulthood with the moral and intellectual attributes necessary to meet the challenges of today's society.
In its five decades of existence, DeMatha has graduated more than 6,000 young men. Its reputation is founded on a healthy combination of sound, forward-looking academic programs and its accomplishments in music, athletics and other extra-curricular activities.
DeMatha Catholic High School was established in 1946 by the Order of the Most Holy Trinity. DeMatha's accreditation is through the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Maryland State Department of Education. Privately owned by the Trinitarian Order, DeMatha is a four-year academic high school located three miles south of the University of Maryland and one block west of Route 1 at 4313 Madison Street in Hyattsville, Md.
