ABOUT DEER TRACK GOLF RESORT
There are 36 holes at Deer Track Golf Resort with each of the two courses providing its own distinctive challenge to the player. The North Course, known as the Toski Links, was renovated in 1996 by Bob Toski and has generous fairways and large greens. The golfer has the challenge of playing this course from just over 7200 yards or can scale down to an inviting 6511 or for the senior player 6100. The ladies are at a comfortable 5353.
The South Course has tighter fairways but is shorter in yardage and is preferred by our membership. The accomplished player can be tested for both accuracy and distance at 6844 while those that wish to play from tees where club selection is an option from the tee can play from 6097. Seniors can play from 5652 while the ladies can find the course to be inviting at 5226. Either way, the rolling greens and smaller targets will challenge every player’s abilities. The end of April, 2005 will be a new beginning for the South Course as it will be renovated with new greens, irrigation, tees and redesign work on its bunkers. The routing of the holes will remain the same but the flavor it offers will change dramatically.
Deer Track Golf Resort has been home to the Carolinas Section PGA Carolinas Open and is currently home to the Gordin Classic, an NCAA Division III championship that pits the nation’s top twelve universities against each other in a two day collegiate tournament during the second week of October.
