Title

Day of Caring for Breast Cancer Awareness

Description

Day of Caring programs--the Annual Conference and the Colorado Breast Cancer Support Resources Directory--provide a gateway to information for everyone diagnosed with breast cancer and the people who care for them.

Volunteers - You Can Help!

The Conference and Directory are produced with the time and talent of hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers help organize every aspect of the conference including the luncheon and auction, speakers, models, exhibitors, and other portions of the program. Volunteers also help on the day of the conference. For the resource directory, volunteers help verify and collect the latest information, help in the production of the booklet, and help with updates online. Volunteers assist in the office and help with special events. Volunteer leaders serve on the Day of Caring advisory group and board of directors. Email info@dayofcaringonline.org for more information on how you can help as a volunteer.

History

Founder Sue Miller discovered during her own breast cancer treatment that information and support resources were hard to find. She created Day of Caring in 1981 to answer this need for patients and for those who care for them.
