Position: Chief Scientist
With twenty years of programming experience with multiple languages, client-server applications and numerical methods, Dave is in charge of the design and implementation of the advanced server architecture which helps power FreeRange applications. He joined FreeRange from Equilibrium, where he was instrumental in the integration of the MediaRich Server Framework with Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server, various e-Commerce systems and enterprise workflow solutions. Prior to working with Equilibrium, Dr. Salmon worked on the design and implementation of a scriptable application framework for Pixar's animation system. He was also Director of Engineering for all software products at the California Technology Center and Senior Engineer at Light Source Computer Images, Inc. He holds several patents, societal honors and MS. and Ph.D degrees from Cornell University.
