Description
One-Line Bio
By day a mild-mannered anesthesiologist - by night the Dash Point Pirate!
Biography
I started kayaking in the fall of 2003 after buying my first kayak (a stitch-and-glue Pygmy Osprey) at the West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium in Port Townsend. After meeting Christopher Cunningham and watching his Greenland rolling demonstration at the next year’s Symposium I was inspired to build my own skin-on-frame.
I live in Tacoma, Washington and can be found paddling all around Puget Sound and the San Juans, or just rolling at our neighborhood beach at Dash Point.
Interests
building wooden kayaks, traditional Greenland style kayaking, video production and editing
